Tarot By Enchanting Erica

I can’t recall which anime convention we were attending, but this Tarot deck obviously caught our eye and we had to get it! The Pokemon Tarot (illustrated by Eliza Bohnen) is a 78 card deck based on the standard Ryder Waite Smith interpretations. In fact, it actually does not come with a LWB, just a little piece of paper with credits, directing you to their website. Ms. Bohnen indicates on the website that there are no plans to create a LWB, but I hope she changes her mind.

This was a really interesting interview, because I’m used to decks telling me that they want to help you reach your goals, and are not interested in drama. And I could probably interpret this reading similarly, but given the context of the deck, it was pretty amusing.

Answer 1: 10 of Coins. Riches, end of a cycle. The pinnacle of material wealth.

Answer 2: 9 of Coins: Accomplishments, wealth, prudence.

Question 3: What readings do you not like to do?

Answer 3: 6 of Coins: Charity, fairness, wealth redistribution

In conclusion: GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL! And don’t lose any or give any away. This is extremely apropos. I love this so much. Whatever you are doing, go big and don’t give up!

Before you say “Erica, maybe you’re a bad shuffler,” be aware that my method is to riffle three times, cut three times, fan the cards, close my eyes, and let my hands be guided to the correct card. I picked from all over the deck.

If you are both a Tarot fan and a Pokemon Fan you will probably dig this deck. The illustrations are very well thought-out and lovingly crafted, and it is clear that Eliza Bohnen has a great love for this fandom.
